Cornay Phillips Client Liaison & Integration

I began my career as a draughtsman with an architect, where I learned the importance of paying attention to detail. My 3 years in the draughting office served as a building block for my future endeavors in the construction industry. The following 10 years were spent in the corporate world at ABSA Bank, where I grew as a person, building confidence in my abilities to work with people and tackling bigger projects outside of my comfort zone. My drive to become better paid off in 1996 when I won the Business Award of the year. In 2003, I joined Triple 3 Group and quickly realized the opportunity to develop my skills as a designer and project manager for civils projects. In 2010, I was thrown in the deep end when one of our bigger clients, the Christian Family Church International, insisted that I be the Project Manager on their Phase 3 Project, which included a Children's Church, new Auditorium, and Food Court. I surprised myself and completed the project ahead of schedule, leaving the client highly satisfied and insisting that I be their preferred Project Manager for the future. This experience opened doors to other established groups, such as Brian Falconer Property Group and Zotos Construction, where I managed multiple sectional title and freehold residential developments while simultaneously handling intensive client liaison with numerous individual homeowners. These experiences honed my unprecedented skill of managing multiple disciplines on multiple projects under immense pressure while staying calm and focused. In 2018, I became a Registered Project Management Professional (PMP). This accreditation, together with my good networking skills between authorities, suppliers, clients, and professionals, gave me the ability, along with our team at Triple 3 Group, to tackle bigger projects. We successfully completed the Stadio University in Centurion on time and within budget and recently finished a distribution and distance learning facility for the Stadio Group in Krugersdorp. With the support of my husband and boys, we are ready for more. Back to Team
